Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada, 3/3/13, Mayapur

Dear devotees,
Please receive all my affection from the Samadhi Mandir of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur in Mayapur, on his day of apparition.

This is a very special place. Here Prabhupada has been in person, all my most adorable Vaisnavas such as B.R. Sridhar Maharaj, B.P. Puro Maharaj, has lived here. They participated in the expansion of Krishna’s Consciousness sinces the beggining, in reality, this is a very big place, a true Eco Yoga Village.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur acquired a very big land here and he wasn’t very inclined to administrate all the site, because he had many other things. This land was in Sri Krishna name since the beggining, and it was so large that different families of farmers lived there paying their taxes to the temple. So, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur didn’t know how to attend him, because he was very absort in his other activities, so someone suggested him to ask Bhakti Prajnan Kesava Maharaj to admistrate it.

At this time, Maharaj was called Vinod Babu. He was from a family of farmers and he knew how to administrate these things. Babu came and said he could menage the land, but he said “I need a horse, a few formal chothings and a gwalior (a security guard) this way I can go charge for the necessery taxes”. At this time, there were many illegal people living there that didn’t pay the taxes, but Vinod Babu made his job so well that the temple became very opulent because everybody started to contribuite like they should. He made something wonderful. A Vaisnava from those times once told me “In Mayapur there are two people that will never be forget, one is Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada and the other is Vinod Babu”.

But later on, this same Vinod Babu became Bhakti Prajnan Kesava Maharaj, the sannyas-guru of my Gurudeva Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, thus here we completely feel like a family. Vraja Pattan means Vraja himself manifested, because here is also  Syama-kunda and the Radha-kunda and an expansion of Govardhan Hill; that is why we feel very connected to this place and are also doing the service to keep it clean.

From this place I had the idea that our farms and temples are a true beauty, representatives of Sri Vrindavan, where all is very well cared, for the people that come to feel very enthusiastic and be able to occupy themsenves in devotional service, helping to embellish the places. So all our projects of Varsana, Vrindavanita, the Eco Truly Park are a reflex of Vraja Pattan which is part of our monastic tradition of veracity, auspisciousness and beauty (satyam, sivam, sundaram). Here, from Vraja Pattan I pray for all ecological farms, inwhich God mercifully has consigned us, to became clean, neat and enchanting places. I pray for them to be fields of devotion where we can bring people to the Lord’s Lotus Feet, because only so we will have the fortune of serve. Imagine if one goes to a temple and is surprised with something like people trating him bad or not giving him food, is like a “anti-asram”.

I remember that in Lima, in the old temple of Jiron Callao there was a very old part, impossible to dwell that was called “anti-bhakta”, because no one wanted to stay there. In Cartagena we also had a place like this, very inhospitable. The fact is that all of our asrams must be “pro-bhaktas”, to inspire people in Krishna’s Consciousness. Srila bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada stablished this asram as a role model to be followed, like when the Real state wants to sell a house, teach a model house, which is the most beautiful, the most elegant, the best mantained; our asrams must be role models so people can learn how to turn their house into a place where Krishna is the center, this is the particuparity of a Eco Yoga Village, that Krishna is in the center. Krishna in the center means that all harmonizes and is solved, that there is no problems. Everything we receive has been done so we can move towards the highest perfection of life.

My message to all of you present on this Sunday Chat from this beautiful place of Vraja Pattan, is for you to make wonderful temples, very beautiful communities, where everything is so beautiful that the people become very thankful and if they could not live in the asram, and wanted to do something at their home, to keep a program or support the temple, it is all very welcome. This is the reality of having a service to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada, this is what he wanted: a place of refuge to all souls.

The Vaisnavas are the first refuge we receive when we get to the asram, beucase they are the ones that receive the people and they are the ones who make things becoming auspicious. What is the most auspicious thing in the world? Is the fact that a soul wants to surrender to Krishna, imagine, to offer a new flower in the shape of a devotee to the Lord’s Lotus Feet. What is the use of so many offers to the Lord if we cannot give new souls at His Feet? They are the ones who give life to our asrams.

Sri Vraja Pattan ki, jay!
Sri Radha-kunda, Syama-kunda, Giriraj Govardhan ki, jay!
Sri Gandharvika Giridhari ki, jay!
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur Mahasaya ki, jay!
Srila Goura Kishor Das Babaji ki, jay!

And the Acaryas who menaged this asram for so long:
Srila Bhakti Vilas Tirtha Maharaj ki, jay!
Srila Bhakti Kusum Srama Maharaj ki, jay!
Srila Bhakti Kankan Tapasvi maharaj ki, jay!
Srila Bhagavat Maharaj ki, jay!

This way we glorify all acaryas who has helped to keep this wonderful asram of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta for years. The house in the entry of the asram was the office of Srila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta where he would pass through the balcony of the sencond floor like a lion, intensively planning to expand the method Krishna Consciousness. All that the devotees of South America and Europe do , in the whole world, is nothing but a plan of Srila bhaktisiddhanta.

All glories to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada in the day of hus Vyasapuja. Goura Premanandi, Hari bol!

Do not be discouraged for anything in this world, it is not worth it. The world is a trouble (rollo in Spanish), because where there is world, there is trouble and you get in trouble, but you can get out of a trouble meditating in a pure devotee and doing service to the great souls that has come to get us from the confusion and illusion.

My big hug from the heart from Sri Mayapur Dham.
Jay Srila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta!
Jay Srila Prabhupada Bhaktivedanta!

Your always well-wisher
Swami B. A. Paramadvaiti
