The importance of spiritual assessment. Sao Paulo 03/30/2014

I want to share a few words with you about the importance of spiritual assessment.

I am very happy because the Lord let me go back to Brazil . I first came to this country 38 years ago, also on a flight from Caracas to Sao Paulo. The same destination, the same trip. Thirty eight years ago I came to Brazil, a world completely unknown to me. Of course, the world of the divine plans of Krishna are always very difficult to understand. Until yesterday I did not know that Krishna also worked with TAM airlines and that cancellations are done without authorization and in secret :)

The day when I arrived at Caracas airport to travel to Brazil I was looking for the TAM airline to embark, but it was nowhere to be seen, nobody knew anything and I was worried, thinking, "how is it possible, I have a flight? " And after 2 hours of research I found out that my flight had been canceled two months ago, without any warning. Well, then I thought : What am I doing here? I was worried and did not have the slightest idea what was going on, I knew that Brazil had an organized program at the Aclimacao park. I thought, "What am I going to do now? " But it was dark at the airport in Caracas. I was even a little angry because they had not confirmed the flight. You're always looking for a culprit, you never think that it is you who is at fault, rather one thinks that you are innocent and the others are bad. Anyways I accepted and thought, " Krishna, it is what You want" then, after two hours I was told I could travel the next day.

At some point I thought they were going to cancel everything and I had to stay in Caracas, but eventually it resulted in just another day in the city. I did not know, but the next day there was a meeting of more than 100,000 people who were making ​​a statement to protect Mother Nature. I had forgotten about this, but since we were there we participate in the event and in fact it was a very important meeting. Practically the most important day of the existence of our movement in Venezuela, which ended with a meeting between the President of the country, the Cabinet Ministers of the Government and the devotees. If I had known that this would happen, I would have canceled the previous flight myself, but Krishna did. Krishna does everything, He even worries about irregularities. I was told that we were invited to participate in this event, but I did not know that the government and the independent groups would also be present. It was a very important meeting.

The next day I was suppose to travel and so I returned to the airport and everything was normal again, TAM existed. I wanted to share this because it was totally a plan of Krishna. From the beginning to the end. Flight canceled alongside a disappeared airline to public relations with the Government of Venezuela. Only God knows how he will use us.  Venezuela is the first government that openly declared it self as an environmentalist country, therefore our responsibility to that is done by the  Spoon Revolution and the World Conscious Pact.

Many things happened that day, a rally with 100,000 people, 5 hours of very auspicious harinaza. We were very well received by all of them, they could not believe what we were doing. Everyone carried signs of protest, but nobody had music, just us. That is the gift of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who always makes things better. Behind us was a large group of 500 people with slogans, they at one point got tired and came to me and said, " You go, you sing and all of us will also sing" So we did a kirtan with 500 voices. It was great, it was the first time I sang, but they did very well. That is the mission of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

When we make a fair comparison of the things that the world offers, we realize that the overall situation is always the same: aggression, violence and sadness.

Working in the mail: sad,
Working in the military: sad,
Working in Government: sad,
Working in trade selling things to the capitalists: very sad
Working in a factory making shoes: very sad.

So honestly, most people are unhappy with their work, but they have no choice. They have to do that to eat ... but the result of all this is that the world remains sad, no dancing, no singing, no smiles. In the Quran God says he who make others smile goes to Heaven. Do you understand?

It is an interesting topic because almost no one is smiling because no one has a reason to smile. When they get home  they only fight with their wife or husband. No smile. When they see their children they do not smile. It's really very sad. But thankfully, the other side is Krishna Consciousness, where devotees rise early for mangal arati to dance and sing. Early in the morning they take a bath, come into contact with water who is Krishna Himself, a luxury. They cleanse themselves from their dream, fantastic. Then they put clean clothes, another luxury .

Devotees wear clean clothes every day, that's a real treat. Think of the farmers, for example, they never have clean clothes, they have to use the same clothes forever. Then the devotees sacredly decorate their body with tilaka. A devotee has time to consecrate his body. Another luxury. "Om Kesavaya namah Om Narayanaya namah ..." So, every step you are remembering how God is protecting your body, that is beauty! Another luxury.

So mangal arati begins and the devotee receives the darshan of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, it is not just a luxury. That's the greatest causeless mercy. At 5 am, every day, you can have an audience with God Himself!

Normally it is not very easy to get an audience with the governor of the city . No one is going to say " I'll see him tomorrow " ... you may never get to see him that way. However, when one goes to mangal arati one receives mercy daily... I do not understand very well as there are people who prefer to avoid it. Perhaps their mind is a little sick, or there is a lack of faith. Well they are missing the opportunity of having personal audience with God. Sure, it happens that when you have something every day you no longer find it very special ... but that does not mean it ceases to be wonderful. I had to wait almost a year to receive the darshan of Gandharvika Giridhari. Long time! And you have it every day.

Morning darshan is a tremendous luxury, what a mercy ! And what do the devotees to be thankful for such darshan of the Lord? They offer all the elements of His own creation. The pujari offers all these energies with love, with love, with affection and with care for my Lord. Krishna gives you, you give it to Krishna ... And so, again and again, Krishna gives you, you give it to Krishna. You offer to the Lord and then the Lord gives His remnants. One gets the fire, the water touches our heads ... everything is mercy.

In Krishna Consciousness everything amazing. Being a monk is a great mercy. It is also a mercy to be a real grhasta of Krishna, a grhasta raising her children is something very special and auspicious. Being a monk living in the temple, a brahmacari, a vishnupriya is a unique opportunity. You have to understand the essence to capture the spiritual beauty that signifies all this.

It's amazing that we can live in the monastery of God. The temple of God where one can get up early, where you can devote your body, which can have the darshan of the Lord, which can be in the kirtan and chanting with the devotees and which can then glorify all Vaishnavas, the holy places and listen to scripture, amazing. That is the meditation of devotees who offer their hearts at the feet of the pure Vaishnava . That's the life of the devotees, to remember Krishna .

Krishna Consciousness is a process of essence. Maybe in a way things are done differently in some places, but the essence is always the same: try to please Krishna and His devotees. One has to have the flexibility to understand the different ways in which Krishna is manifested in the life of the devotee. Krishna's things are special, and they are not necessarily the way we want them to be.

I pray that each of you can deepen your spiritual life and appreciate all that has been given to you and that you can feel a strong commitment in service to Srila Prabhupada.

First I want to offer my obeisances to Srila Prabhupada, who changed the world, who sent me to this life with a mission. With a mission to fulfill, that mission is the mission of finding spirituality for myself and to share it with others.

The materialistic man is busy with all their toys and even though man has so many giant things, countries like China, Russia, USA, a fairly powerful world where everything is huge, yet they can not seem to solve their problems, it seems that man creates more problems than solutions.

There is very little coordination, there is little progress in understanding a situation of cause and effect. To avoid the negative causes and its effects, you would think that when you know something hurts that it should be removed to avoid causing further damage. So one might assume that the man would be very handy, especially in terms of food, pollution, but that is not the case. Man can not even advance much in that manner. For Example:

Currently there are many modern diseases and hospitals where new systems of medicine, surgery, etc are invented and there even exists computers that can run surgeries. One says, " how smart, look how much power man has." Actually the problem is simple, man has forgotten spirituality. Spirituality is the only way that one has to understand the difficulty of the material world. With the material one can not solve problems, the spiritual gives one the power to understand the essence, the cause of everything. The spiritual master always has doors open for everyone to grow and all problems are solved humility within the heart.

On the other hand, the idea of economic happiness or economic security is something that is naturally created in this materialistic environment where if everyone wants to have something then they have to have money, but they have forgotten that societies existed before without money and sharing was natural. ..
For example devotees share everything they have.We have a new farm Inkawara, 60 hectares in Bolivia which will be the light of the Incas, and it is a paradise. It has many butterflies, the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life, water everywhere, orchards in 60 years that have not been touched or better to say that have never ever been touched.

This land is also yours because you are a devotee of Krsna, because your dad is the owner, because the owner is Krsna, He has made the most beautiful things in the world until men come and they exploit it and destroy it. In other words, wherever Krsna may be that is also your place, that is divine socialism, and if we need a big roof because we are a lot of people we are also capable of making a large roof and if we need blankets because it is very cold, we will also be able to get them so that there is warmth.
So simple living and high thinking is not fictitious, it is not illusion, but you must be detached enough.

One of the founders of Ikwashenduna said : you all talk about the money but that is something very bohemian to decorate the walls, that is to stick on the walls, you see money as something important but it is only to decorate, but that is for doing something beautiful, but when you see money as the most important thing and you are neglecting your relationship with God that is very grave. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada was very gracious, he gave us the world, he gave us Vrindavan, that was raised by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

All the banks and financed houses cannot even  afford to pay for a pebble of Govardhana.

We know that our lives are there to serve, learning to serve with or without money, no problem, the issue is to serve, but when you forget to serve you want to become the served, that's what happens in the material world, everyone wants to be served, served by others, ignorance of others. Even when you say " I love you", that has become selfish, if people say " I want to serve you " that's fine, but people really mean " I want to enjoy you." So you must be very careful with this phrase "I love you ".

We are very fortunate when we look for the goal of life and it comes to us through the form of the spiritual master and you now can serve in a loving way. And it is better you understand this anyway because everyone is the architect of their own fortune. Some have heart and not others. Those who do not will not understand anything but those that are, will build a temple of the Lord in their heart. They become well-wishers for all others and want to make temples in the hearts of others also; they become builders in the hearts of others even when uninvited. I see that your heart is in a prison, a place full of worries, you should remove those bars to be free and then I will enter there and build a cozy temple.

Everyone has to build a temple in their heart. They are constructing doctors of the soul, and there are many ways to see it, but the concept is very nice; that someone comes into your heart and will start constructing sa temple, that is rather advantageous but nice. Because really to build and be constructive one needs materials, and these are the materials of Seva. These are the materials to build temples in the hearts of others, there are cds, books, all to create the perfect consciousness and to have favorable environments especially when speaking of intelligence and speaking of the mind. There is a subtle construction needed, in that place there is no longer a need to handle bricks or mud. To build on them one must be quite prepared. When you install the books of Srila Prabhupada and Gurudeva Atulananda's conferences in the hearts of people, a temple is insured. Only the Lord knows what you 're calling, you just have to change your heart and call, you have to call, I install the line but you have to call, and if not, that is alright, because we will also call you, but hopefully you answer.

All things are lessons to grow, to learn, to rejoice, the value of this world is to feel that our brothers are happy, and so practically the happiness of Krishna consciousness is knowing that there is Krsna consciousness.

Our life, our path, our road, our task is to spread love, and we do not need anything else, we just need love, and one who does not have much love then you must chant the Hare Krishna mantra, that is why in a temple the maha mantra is installed to activate that love that everyone searches for :

"O my Lord let me be an instrument of your love."
When you have time to sing, that is activated. Then the Lord's devotees have a duty to activate the holy name and install the worship of Ishtadev. Everyone should be involved in the worship of God, even when he is an atheist.

One has to be a sankirtaneer, sankirtan leaders for Srila Prabhupada, equip yourselves and do not go without material. Equip yourselves to preach without the false ego, without thinking that you are the doers. We are nothing but instrumental pawns. Those who are doing it all, are our Gurudevas, Srila Prabhupada, Srila Sridhar Maharaj, Srila BP Puri Maharaj, we are the pawns. And there is much more work to be done. I see that many communities are being activated through the leadership the devotees are taking.

My message and desire is this: to continue giving all your effort in your individual struggles and change the community around you.

Dear devotees

Today is my last day in Colombia . Important days of the mission.

Today I travel to Ati Quigua, Costa Rica to meet with Dr. Vandana Shiva. This meeting will be historic. The reunion of two ancient cultures.

Ati Quigua seeks to strengthen ties between the Sierra Nevada and India. I am very happy with this, as these meetings are very auspicious for everyone. Our main campaign is to restore and protect traditional values​​. Offering an education based on spiritual values ​​that include respect for all cultures.

Ati Quigua is traveling as a representative of Ikwashendwna taking a message of peace and universal love. Ikwashendwna or the global conscious pactc is the union of the people for a better world, for the respect of values​​. Krishna is manifesting all this by His mercy. And we are instruments of this great plan.

What do we do to alleviate the suffering in the world?

First know, why do we suffer? What is our suffer for? The oida therapy gives us the answer to this in a scientific way. Now that we know why, what do we do? How do we apply the lessons learned? We learn many things in this world but do they have practical application in life? Most information we learn are oriented in the end to economically maintain us.

We did not have spiritual education that compliments other education and meaning to our lives. The sages of India gave us a lot of spiritual information. The mystical school of India is rich in wisdom, such as the Srimad Bhagavatam. There are 18,000 verses designed to awaken spirituality in society. Information that serves even an atheist. An atheist can say he does not believe in God but believes in values.

But who defines or set the values? From where do they arise or how are they taught? How is there education in values?

Sometimes I find these atheists and ask them if they worship the cosmic mother, the creator of life, and they say sure, how wouldn't I, then I tell them well then you are very religious.

I want to acknowledge the Mamos, the grandparents and teachers of the Sierra. They are an example of a culture that has fought and are fighting to protect their values; ​​and that is found in the love and in the generosity that they have towards each other, even though they were abused by the misuse of the word religion.

I am their humble apprentice. I was one of the hippies of Europe looking to live in a community, we made many attempts to form small communities of which I was part of, but I saw them form and saw them get canceled, that is what happens with these communities. While Arhuaca communities have thousands of years existing and they still care for each other, they make offerings and are here sharing with us.

These days I attended a reunion of the eco villages in Varsana but it was much more than eco villages, it was the need of each living being to find a community and to have a sustainable relationship with the earth, with other brothers, with forests, rivers, with the trees, the animals and everything around us. So what I saw was a meeting of the heart.

What unites us is the cosmic mother, the source of all that makes our biodiversity, and happy life, and it is also the ability to cope with different situations and conflicts. The conclusion of this meeting is that we should not see enemies even if we know people who do horrible things, we must try to stop them but we only have complex little brothers who we must wake up and include them in good.

And the good, in its different varieties, show them that murderers have to do with violence, well we suffer  collectively or with something that unites us. I ask you this, "do you guys internally feel that everyone in the group must receive the reactions of the actions of a  specific person or a specific group?

We need to weave a web that goes beyond sectarianism, we must identify elements that bring us together such as the protection of animals, mother earth, values, and of these we have much in common.

From the Vedic view the goal of life is liberation. We can say that we have bought the ticket to liberation but we lose that if we do not help others to grab their ticket. We should all leave this world, we must have a healing community where it fits all and salvation is the way of life we ​​lead. This is the role of the eco villages, educational centers of the healing culture.

In an eco village two very nice concepts exist. The leader doesn't feel himself to be a leader, he is a trainer, educator of leaders. And there is no concept of private property even if it is privately owned. They feel that what they have is borrowed and they feel as guardians . For them it is very clear : we are not owners but guardians of Mother Earth.

Spirituality is a self -evident truth of the law, it is what unites us by law, by necessity. Spirituality represents beauty and not torture and inquisition, so I feel blessed to find the ancestral solution because a community without law is going to end in nothing, where you will fight even for a pin, as is the mentality of hegemony  who remove everyone for the army so they can leave their rotten power flow. The leader of a spiritual community inspires others under rules that everyone agrees to accept because they accept them as beneficial, to form, to generate, to sustain your personal and group development. That's a big sacrifice.

An ideal materially solidifies when there is a selfless sacrifice from someone willing to help and receive all with love. We know there is justice in the universe and if someone starts making trouble then by universal law we know that person will get what they deserve, but that law is not written, it is something that we have at heart.

Cult is culture, it is our due. Forming community, finding values ​​that I want to sacrifice for, finding leaders who inspire me because they sacrifice the most.

You can have the desire to have an eco village, then you must give your land to the community and agree  to what the grandparents say about rules and regulations, because they sacrifice and they have the common good in mind, that worship is for the welfare of all.

 The environmental movement has a great negligence basically by part of the humans towards animals, and now the united nations mentioned the importance of refraining from meat eating, but large organizations such as Green peace do not have as their primary concern. Many animal organizations recommend caring for pets but they do not mention that in India they should stop the sacrifice of animals, that it must be avoided. If you need to do it then you pay your due where you kill the animal with your hands and say that he will have the right to do the same with you in the next life. Spirituality is the defense for the motherland, to love others and to follow a leader who is capable of sacrifice without fanaticism, without thinking that he is the only one worthwhile to do it.

I wanted to convey the experience of a community that has and promotes values ​​such as gratitude, purity and compassion and at its base are meetings where members discuss how to protect those ideals together. Within these communities are authorities but no fear. For me, spirituality is the ideal of a community, especially those who have a close relationship with each other or where greater strength is the base on the common belief that we all share.

I am speaking about the Eco villages, we had the most important meeting for the eco villages here and the concept includes all spiritual communities. Do you have a spiritual community? Then it is part of this network.

A spiritual family and a community. If you open the door to your brothers to talk of universal values ​​and have a community...The future depends on communities working together in their ideals. So I was happy in this meeting with the many leaders who share their experiences and exist for a better world.
